SUCCESS OF THE 2012 FOX CITIES WALK 4 AUTISM!
A very special “Thank You” to all our friends and supporters who made the 2012 Fox Cities Walk-4-Autism our biggest and best yet!!! Approximately 2500 Walkers and friends, plus an army of volunteers, combined to raise thousands of dollars for the mission of Friends of Autism. Children with autism and their families right here in the Fox Valley will benefit from your contributions and support.
Thanks also to Tanner’s Grill & Bar, WIXX, WLUK, L&S Classic Limousine, Fox Valley Asphalt, Applied Behavior Analysts, LLC, WEAP, Fox Valley Autism Treatment Program, Klements, Avis, ThedaStar, SuperBowl, Kwik Trip, Festival Foods, and all of our other great sponsors.
WELCOME TO FRIENDS OF AUTISM Every sixteen minutes, a child in the United States is diagnosed with autism. In Wisconsin, at least one child is diagnosed with autism every day. Autism is now the most prevalent developmental disability—affecting more children than cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hearing loss, and vision impairment. In fact, more children will be diagnosed with autism than with childhood leukemia, diabetes, and cancer combined.
Friends of Autism was established in 2000 as the only autism charity in Wisconsin dedicated to raising money to fund autism research, awareness, and education. Friends of Autism is powered by volunteers and relied upon by parents and professionals throughout the state.
We invite you to learn more about autism and our organization on the pages of our website. We’re hoping that you, too, will become a Friend of Autism.
